FAQ
How does automatic zoom work?
When you record, BeatMotion automatically creates zoom regions around your clicks. Keyboard activity can keep the zoom active, and you can refine the generated regions in the editor. You can also add Auto Zoom to follow the cursor or use Custom Zoom when you want to direct attention to a specific area.
Can I record system audio, my microphone, and webcam together?
Yes. BeatMotion can capture system audio, microphone input, and webcam footage in one recording. The editor lets you refine each segment afterward, including its audio and camera settings, so you can make a focused tutorial, demo, or walkthrough without stitching separate recordings together.
Can I customize the cursor after recording?
Yes. BeatMotion keeps the cursor editable after capture, so you can change its size, effects, and icon while refining your video. For looping videos, it can also move the cursor smoothly from its final position back to where it began, helping the loop feel intentional instead of abrupt.
Can I edit a recording after I capture it?
Yes. You can split or remove sections, adjust clip duration and speed, and fine-tune audio and camera settings. BeatMotion also lets you choose a background, padding, rounded corners, aspect ratio, resolution, and the size and placement of your picture-in-picture camera video before exporting.
Can I edit videos recorded outside BeatMotion?
Yes. Import regular video files and edit them in BeatMotion, even if they were not captured by the app. You can add background treatments, Custom Zoom, captions, and masks to bring existing footage into the same editing workflow.
What caption tools are included?
You can add captions, adjust their font size, position, and style, and export them as an SRT file. BeatMotion can generate captions from audio with Whisper models that recognize 99 languages, then translate them into your preferred language. Two languages can be displayed at the same time when your audience needs both.
Are my recordings and edits private?
Yes. BeatMotion records and processes your screen content locally on your Mac. Your recordings, edits, and exports stay on your device and are not uploaded to, stored by, or accessible to BeatMotion.
How do plans, billing, and license recovery work?
You can manage your plan, payment method, billing details, or cancellation through the customer portal, and use your checkout email to find past purchases or recover a license key.
